Ready, Set, Race
Starting this year, Ford will be working to incorporate their expertise in sustainable power and OEM manufacturing in the world of racecar driving. Though the news is exciting, it comes as no surprise as the Ford brand has been pioneering the EV revolution and shows no signs of slowing down. Following the major success of the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E and the Ford F-150 Lightning, the brand is currently the second-leading U.S. EV automaker. Ford will partner with Red Bull Powertrains to engineer next-generation hybrid powertrain units to supply Oracle Red Bull Racing and the Scuderia AlphaTauri team with planet-friendly efficiency. The companies will work together to improve upon technical regulations and engineer fully sustainable fuel systems for the 350 kW electric motor. Other areas of focus will turn to advanced hybrid technologies, planet-friendly power, and efficient battery engineering. With Ford’s leading technology, you can expect to see the Ford Mustang coupe and Ford Mustang Mach-E blazing featuring race-inspired performance in the near future.
