Our United States Armed Forces members deserve honorable recognition all year round for putting their lives on the line to protect our nation. Because of their selfless bravery, members receive discounts on new Ford models at Preston Ford of Aberdeen. Whether once serving in World War I, World War II, the Vietnam War, the Gulf War, or any other battle in history, the Preston Automotive Group family offers veterans a $500 discount on new vehicles to salute their service. During November, any person who purchases a vehicle receives a Yellow Preston Frog as a token of our appreciation, and PAG offers a donation to various non-profit organizations that support local military and first responders.
Veterans day, originally known as Armistice Day, was founded on November 11, 1919, one year after WWI. Armistice signifies a truce or peace agreement made by opposing sides in a war to end the fight. This revolutionary truce went into effect on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. November 11 became an official federal holiday in 1938 and was later amended in 1954 by President Dwight D. Eisenhower to recognize all veterans. We are proud to continue this tradition.
